Account Director

The Role
As an Account Director, you’ll lead and grow a portfolio of high-profile client accounts, driving long-term partnerships and commercial success. This is a strategic leadership role with full commercial accountability. You’ll own key accounts, shape long-term growth strategies and ensure consistent delivery of exceptional, profitable work. We’re looking for someone ambitious, commercially astute and confident operating at senior stakeholder level — someone motivated by building lasting partnerships and delivering measurable business impact.

The Responsibilities
Strategic Client Leadership

• Own, lead and grow profitable client relationships across a range of exciting, well-known global brands.
• Work closely with the Client Services Director and Managing Director to drive long-term client growth.
• Develop a deep understanding of your clients’ markets, becoming a trusted strategic partner.
• Build relationships with stakeholders at all levels, confidently shaping briefs to achieve the best possible outcomes.
• Direct and project manage jobs from conception to completion, identifying opportunities to upsell services.
• Lead client workshops, meetings and presentations.
• Act as the voice of the client within the agency, ensuring strategic alignment and excellence in delivery.

Content & Creative Oversight

• Elevate client communications to maximise audience engagement and achieve project objectives.
• Develop and write presentation content from supplied materials, workshops and client conversations.
• Ensure exceptional attention to detail across all outputs — maintaining the highest editorial standards.
• Collaborate closely with our creative team to deliver best-in-class presentation solutions.

Commercial & Financial Management

• Own monthly and annual revenue targets for your team.
• Provide accurate monthly forecasting and pipeline reporting.
• Oversee invoicing and financial administration across your accounts.
• Maximise profitability across projects while continually improving internal processes.

Leadership & Team Development

• Lead, inspire and develop team members
• Support the professional growth of your team in line with business objectives.
• Foster a collaborative, positive and high-performing team culture.
• Support recruitment and onboarding of new team members.
• Maintain an approachable, solutions-focused attitude in a fast-paced environment.
• Business Development
• Confidently present our service offering to existing and prospective clients.
• Proactively identify and nurture new business opportunities.
• Support and lead pitches and new business conversations through to conversion.

The Candidate

Experience – Extensive experience within a marketing communications agency environment, operating at Senior Account Manager or Account Director level.
Education – A degree in a related field is advantageous but not essential.
Attitude – Proactive, commercially minded and calm under pressure. You lead by example and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Skills – Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a passion for the English language and meticulous attention to detail. Proficient in Microsoft 365.
Knowledge – A strong understanding of the design process and terminology.
Traits – A natural relationship builder who balances strategic thinking with hands-on delivery, and takes ownership of both team performance and financial outcomes.

The Role
As an Account Manager, you’ll play a key role in the day-to-day running of projects across a range of client accounts, helping to build strong and lasting client relationships. You’ll be confident speaking with a variety of stakeholders across different industries, supporting the delivery of exceptional creative work while ensuring projects run smoothly, on time and on budget. We’re looking for someone organised, ambitious and enthusiastic — someone who is keen to develop their client services career and grow with us.

The Responsibilities
Client Service

• Manage the day-to-day delivery of projects across a varied portfolio of accounts.
• Develop a solid understanding of your clients’ products/services, markets and audiences.
• Build strong working relationships with clients, becoming a reliable and proactive point of contact.
• Interpret briefs clearly and ask the right questions to ensure strong project foundations.
• Support and lead client meetings and calls, ensuring key actions are documented and followed up.
• Prepare and issue client communications including cost estimates/confirmations, contact reports, follow-up emails and timelines.
• Work with clients to refine content and ensure clarity of messaging.
• Escalate any potential risks, scope changes or commercial concerns to your line manager.

Internal Process

• Manage projects from brief through to delivery in line with internal processes.
• Prepare clear written or verbal briefs for the creative team.
• Review creative work against the brief and provide constructive feedback before client presentation.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, maintaining organisation and attention to detail.
• Support financial administration across your accounts, including estimating, tracking and budget management.
• Contribute ideas in brainstorming and briefing sessions.
• Thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative and creatively driven environment.
• Support the Directors and senior team with additional tasks as reasonably required.

Business Development

• Identify opportunities to add value to existing client briefs.
• Spot areas for organic growth within accounts and flag opportunities to senior team members.
• Confidently explain our service offering to clients.
• Support preparation of documents and materials for new business opportunities.

The Candidate
Experience – You’ll already have experience working as a Senior Account Executive or Account Manager with approximately 2–4 years’ agency experience in a client services role.
Education – A degree in a related field or professional marketing qualification is advantageous but not essential.

Skills – Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail. Confident using Microsoft 365.
